I am a seasoned educator with years of cognate classroom experience that cuts through virtually every strata of the educational spectrum; from primary to secondary and post-secondary . I am conversant with different curricula from the standard British curriculum to the Nigerian federal curriculum at both the primary and secondary levels. While I am primarily a literacy specialist, I am quite seasoned in primary level humanities and sciences having handled it for years in a reputable international school. My philosophy of teaching begins first with a concern for the student’s goals and expectations in learning. My teaching is structured to meet those ends. I believe that the Litearcy teacher’s role is to analyse learner’s needs and develop their linguistic and communicative competence, to meet both their present and future needs, and to equip them to participate fully in a world of changing knowledge. I like my lessons to be dynamic, properly paced, and with a sense of fun.  I am a practitioner of the “Communicative Language Teaching” methodolgy which results in livelier classroom/learning sessions and where learning takes place at a faster pace for most students. I incorporate grammatical concepts and vocabulary-building into the lessons in a way that contributes to the interactive tasks which encompass the communicative style. When students take charge of their own learning,  and become, in the technical term “autonomous learners,” we will be on the road towards successful language and overall knowledge achievement.
